Facebook Groups

I've decided to leave several of those groups on Facebook. I really don't see the point of continuing with groups which are short-lived projects, silly, absurd and bizarre like the "Cats that look like Hitler Appreciation Society".

Graham Jones has a bit to say about social networks, like Facebook, here

I agree. There are so many Facebook groups its very hard to find ones that are worthwhile. It also seems quite a chore to stay up to date with the ones you do join - FB need to improve their system somewhat.
Thanks for the link to Graham Jones - another interesting read.

I binned my whole Facebook account a while ago - I fail to see the point of it at all.

But Cats that look like Hitler? I won't have a word said against it!

Clearly then you don't feel the need to connect.

I think you might be right.

Although the blogging thing would belie that surely?

I still can't see the point either, unless it is for people to steal your personal details, find out when you are on holiday...seems to me more disadvantages than advantages
