Out of Africa

Back from a very gruelling trek in Africa. There'll be more to tell over at the other place when the brain is fully functioning!

In the meantime take a look at this link. It's about the Ngorongoro crater as visited by me and my fellow trekkers a couple of days ago. Wildlife seen there within the space of a few short few hours included lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, jackal, zebra, warthog, eland, Thomson's gazelle, Grant gazelle, vervet monkey, haartebeest, flamingo's, hippos and wildebeest.

...........and speaking of my other trekkers, all brilliant individuals.

Gavin, Chris and Marion have been raising funds for CLIMB

Catherine's page is here

Michael and Stanley have raised over £10000 for Community Links

Arlene and Laura are supporting the Larkhill Schools Project

Amy and I have raised over £6000 for Breast Cancer Campaign

You were all robbed - doxycycline is the way ahead - only £15 for the course, us Scots can spot a bargain a mile off!

Hey, welcome back, just going to switch pages and read all about it.

Laura, I think you'll find that doxycycline makes you very emotional and prone to tearful outbursts, but I'm sure that won't happen to you. I sure Frankypants will dry your tears if needed.

Funnily enough, work was as unpleasant as normal, thanks, but it was never going to be the same after such a brilliant week. Most things that made me smile today revolved round memories of the trip including the surreal moment at the last camp (I'll leave it to you to set the scene in your inimitable way), a moment that will surely become legend in Maasai folklore. I hope it is done justice when Gavins film appears

Ah yes, the Maasai version of "show me the way to go home".

No doubt Gavins film will be up for an Oscar at some point in the future.

And talking of Oscars, what happend to Oscar the Olive Babboon, Sidney the stick insect and Dexter the dung beetle?
