This stupid country
On a sign, actually three little signs, in the fruit counter below some biscuit tins, in Marks & Spencer - Temple Fortune - these words, well nearly............
"Offensive Weapons Act 2003. It is an offence to sell items which have sharp edges to persons under 16".
Woopeedoo. F***king buscuit tins are now deemed offensive weapons. It beggars belief doesn't it. Why didn't they put these signs all around the fruit shelves? I mean think of it, you can do real damage with a banana - and how about a pineapple thrown at you at full pelt from 3 yards? Could blind you.
Devil, do they have this bollocks in Edinburgh?
Or Tunbridge Wells, Iain?
This is the sort of stuff that ought to be discussed on 18Doughty Street

Jeremy, Just ignore it and carry on doing the same as usual. We can't let these idiot rules take over our lives. At the end of the day, common sense has to prevail.
I don't know, I find the way they always put burbons in even though no one likes them pretty offensive.
Assault with a deadly bourbon, eh? That takes the biscuit!

Yeah, why can't people just be Nice?
I'm going to have to digest that comment Julia.
There was a time when the British were rightly feared and admired wherever they laid claim to other's land, bringing guns and civilization to the natives. Now they cringe in fear of bisquit containers. It is tragic to see a great empire implode into a witless wimpishness. Winston! Winston! Where are you when we need you!(PS. I am American and we would never be caught more than an arm's length from an instrument of lethal capability!)
