Margate a long time ago.

On the Thanet Life blog, Simon Moores has posted several photos of old Margate and the surrounding area. Earlier this evening I came across this one which shows the Clock Tower on Margate sea-front c. 1920

I finally figured out where Margate was, just outside Fort Lauderdale. Seriously, I love old photographs and the insight they give to our history.

I noticed that Margate FC has 193,000 mentions in Google Australia. Very impressive. Was there a scandal at some point?; Saturday, April 21, 2007
