More on Alan Ball

Thanks to James Hamilton for this. I mentioned in the post below about the time I met Alan. I mentioned to him that I was about to take part in the 1991 London Marathon and I was raising money for the hospice where my sister spent her last few months. Alan made no mention about his wifes then known condition. She was suffering from cancer too. Great bloke. He'll be sorely missed.
