Public Speaking and Toastmasters International
Tomorrow evening, I'll be at Riverside Communicators in Twickenham. I'll be their guest speaker at the Area Speech Evaluation Contest. Toastmasters International is a wonderful organisation to belong to if you are serious about your public-speaking and leadership skills.

OK, here we go again. Third attempt to leave a comment.
Toastmasters are not only wonderful but they're the epitome. My field is mainly concerned with presentations and they're renowned.
I mentioned on Ellee's blog the other day that I used to show a toastmasters film on public speaking. It was a real film (on 16mm) and whilst very old had some excellent messages.
Over the years I've delivered some excellent speeches- and some rather lame ones. PPPPPP & all that!
Yes, yes, and yes.....I'm getting there, slowly, thanks to Toastmasters.
PPPPPP? surely it's PPPPP.
Proper planning prevents piss poor performance.
PPPPP love that!
So this is where you live?
Have fun tomorrow.
Free drinks for you all night?

PPPPP. Learnt that one years ago. Still makes me laugh.
Ellee, I must an arrangement for you to come down to A Toastmasters meeting in London. Or am I coming to Cambridge?
Toastmasters is simply amazing. Every meeting is a learning experience and that's really wonderful. I'm in my final semester in university and my Toastmasters membership has benefited tremendously.
I wonder if there is an online platform that connects Toastmasters members who keep a blog.
I used to be a member and did my first grade at the National Geologic Survey in Reston Virginia in the early 1990s. My best speech was on my varied ties and their impact on my personality. It was very visual and quite entertaining. My puzzle has always been making time to prepare properly. I love PPPPP. Now my Toastmastering skills are limited to the kids breakfast.
Jeremy, You are welcome to come to Cambridge, but they don't have free speaking slots as there is always a waiting list. I'm planning my next one, I think I have to use actions and I shall demonstrate how to cook a rhubarb lasagna - now there's one for Welshcakes to ponder over.
