Once again Graham Jones has highlighted how ineffectual Search Engine Optimization can be. In his latest article, Graham highlights that if you want to get up the rankings, then add content, content and more content. What's interesting is that Graham suggests that it can be any content.
I agree with him on this point. When I've had a break from blogging, Google Analytics shows a drop in my readership. Is this your experience too? Or do you feel that highly focused content is best?

Are you a member of the 2000 Bloggers community? If so, has being a member driven up your rankings at Technorati or at Google.
Here's my original post concerning Tino Buntic's 2000 Bloggers scheme.
Tino Buntic has devised a new style of internet comunity with his 2000 Bloggers scheme. I'm there. Cristian Mezei at SeoPedia has a useful post on the same subject. (I just love the style and colour scheme of his Blog)
Why not add your Blog and become a top UK blogger?

Yes, March 14th, 2006 is the anniversary of my first blog post. Although CP (in name) didn't come into existence until months later, the "Barry" post was there 12 months ago.
Since then things have blossomed. I've made inumerable internet friends from Ellee and Iain Dale to Graham Jones, Yid with Lid, James Higham, Tom Paine all those at BlogLog and Technorati, ooh, the list is endless. Well not endless, it's on the left-hand side of this Blog!
There are other friends too at the Trek site and at the JJ.com website.
All in all, it's been a fantastic 12 months.
(Mustn't forget all those chaps at the 2000 Bloggers project)

Mine are slipping back. Looks like the 2000 Bloggers project has been found out.

Some say it's a link-farm or a con? "Engtech" takes a different line. So does Tisha.
What do you think?
Should Technorati ignore the "2000" links?

One way of doing this is by offering a quiz or meme and other questionnaires to others in the Blogosphere.
But, what do you do when confronted by the indifference, and sometimes rudeness of others? Stefanie at Ch.aoti.ca didn't have a problem the other day but Ariel Waldman did. These two lady bloggers were 2 of 5 I sent that " 5 reasons for Blogging" meme.
Should I ignore the Ariel's of this world, or should I have asked her permission to invade her space? After all, memes are the electronic equivalent of "junk snail mail".
What would you do?

Cityunslicker is the latest Blogger to lend his support to my African Adventure. I've really been touched by the amount of comments about da Trek in the Blogosphere. If you'd like to donate to Breast Cancer Campaign then please check out this site.

Being a curious chap, I love winding away the hours investigating the Blogosphere. Some of the most compelling sites are those American marketeers. Todd has posted the Power 150. America's top 150 marketing blogs. His site is like a work of art!
Another is C.C. Chapman's "Managing the Gray", nothing to do with middle-aged mens grooming but................... C.C. Chapman, VP of New Marketing at crayon, uses this marketing podcast and blog to help business professionals and individuals, stay up to date on what is happening in the world of new media, consumer generated content and no control PR. Got a question? Want to chat with C.C.? I'm only an e-mail away.
