The Australian Disease

What's your solution to the problem which has been thrust upon us from Australia? Would you agree that Correct Usage of English lessons for our friends who visit us from downunder?

I can understand Aussies most of the time, but some are incomprehensible. I could say the same of some English lower-class accents. I have watched some British dramas with sub-titles in order to understand what was being said! Americans have a similar problem, of course. This is especially true of lower-class Black Americans who swallow their words or speak so nasally that it is impossible to understand them. So to answer your question, yes, there are accents and manners of speaking that are incomprehensible to highly educated, snooty folks like us.
